The Yobe State Security Council says stringent measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of lives and property during and after the Sallah celebration across the state.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel Ado, announced this while briefing journalists on the outcome of the State Security Council meeting, chaired by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Baba Mallam Wali, on behalf of the State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, held in Damaturu, the state capital.
Represented by DCP Sale Samaila, the Police Commissioner explained that all necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure a hitch-free Sallah celebration.
CP Ado pointed out that all heads of security agencies in the meeting resolved to take proactive measures by providing adequate security in all Eid grounds to prevent any unwanted situations across the 17 local government areas of the state.
The meeting was attended by the chiefs of all security agencies in the state, including the Army, Police, DSS, NDLEA, Civil Defence, Immigration, Road Safety Corps, Security Adviser to the Governor, and the Director of Security for Yobe State.
