Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics Inspects Jeddah Airport Ahead of Pilgrims’ Departure.

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Transport and Logistics, Saleh Al-Jasser has conducted an inspection of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah to assess its operational readiness for the departure of pilgrims following the successful completion of this year’s Hajj rituals.

During the visit, the minister reviewed procedures for receiving and facilitating the smooth departure of pilgrims.

He evaluated the workflow within departure lounges, the performance of airport services and facilities and overall operational efficiency.

The inspection is part of the Kingdom’s efforts to ensure a seamless and dignified travel experience for pilgrims, in line with international best practices and service standards.

This year’s arrival phase saw more than 1.4 million pilgrims from outside the Kingdom arrive by air from 71 countries, landing at 238 different destinations.

The Ministry remains committed to continuous improvement in transport services to support the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives in serving pilgrims and visitor.
