Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has approved the appointment of Abubakar Jafar Ilela as Senior Special Assistant on Public Enlightenment.
A statement issued by Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Mukhtar Gidado says Jafaru Ilela who holds the traditional title of Wakilin Sadarwan Bauchi is a veteran public relations expert and grassroots mobilizer.
According to the statement, the appointment aligns with the administration’s resolve to deepen public engagement and ensure transparent, timely, and inclusive communication with the people of Bauchi State.
It noted that the appointee is expected to bring to the new role his wealth of experience in civic education, public affairs, and strategic enlightenment campaigns.
Governor Bala expressed confidence in Ilela’s competence and loyalty, urging him to leverage his background to promote the administration’s people-centered agenda.
The statement therefore urged all stakeholders, especially media professionals and community leaders, to support the appointee in the discharge of his duties.
