The National Board for Technical Education, NBTE, has commenced the accreditation process for National Diploma and Higher National Diploma programmes at Al-Huda College of Nursing and Sciences, Bauchi.
Leader of the accreditation team and North-East Zonal Director of NBTE, Abba Muhammad Dan’mowa, said the two-day visit was to assess the institution’s resources and infrastructure.
He explained that the exercise, conducted at the College’s campus in Federal Low-Cost, Bauchi, is in line with NBTE’s standard accreditation modules and procedures.
Engineer Dan’mowa observed that the college had recorded commendable growth since its establishment in 2023, which had contributed to the accelerated development of its academic programmes.
He said the NBTE Executive Secretary, Professor Idris Muhammad Bugaje, had directed all institutions to prioritise practical skills development to produce competent healthcare professionals for national needs.
In his remarks, the Provost of the College, Alhaji Aliyu Idris Abubakar, expressed appreciation to the NBTE for the exercise and its commitment to promoting quality technical education.
He disclosed that the College had obtained licences from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and the Corporate Affairs Commission, assuring that it was ready to comply with all regulatory requirements.
