Students of the National Teachers Institute (NTI), Bauchi, have been urged to develop a strong work ethic and strive for academic excellence.
“As you begin the academic journey I expect you to Develop a strong work ethic and strive for academic excellence and cultivate skills that will make you a valuable asset to society”
The call was made by the Director and Chief Executive of the institute, Professor Sadiya Sani Daura, during the matriculation ceremony for Degree and Postgraduate Diploma students in Bauchi.

Represented by the Director of Examinations, Hajiya Rabi Attu Ahmad, Professor Daura encouraged the students to cultivate skills that would make them valuable assets to the teaching profession.
She emphasized the importance of embracing NTI’s core values of excellence, integrity, and professionalism.
” Our counselling services are available to support you with any personal or academic issues you may encounter”
While acknowledging that the teaching profession comes with challenges, she assured the students that with the right mindset and skills, these challenges are surmountable.
She further urged them to remain proactive and committed to the advancement of the profession.
In his remarks, the Bauchi State Coordinator of the institute, Aliyu Sale Yahaya, advised the matriculating students to avoid all forms of malpractice and adhere to the institution’s rules and regulations. ” We have zero tolerance for exams malpractice as we give our certificates on both academic and character”
A total of 250 students were matriculated at the ceremony.
