A coalition of coordinated Arewa youth groups from Northern Nigeria has issued a press statement urging President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to appoint Hon Nasir Bala Aminu (Ja’oji) as the new Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
This call comes following the recent appointment of the previous minister, Mr Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, as the new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress.
The youth groups, who met in Kano, cited several reasons why Hon Aminu is the ideal candidate for the position,Unwavering Loyalty To President Tinubu and the APC,Proven Track Record Of contributions to youth development, acknowledged by the Emir of Daura, who crowned him “Adon Garin Kasar Hausa” (The Jewel of Hausa Land).
In a statement signed by Balarabe Abdullahi Jega, Zonal Coordinator, North West, said other respected qualities include Philanthropic Efforts, Runs special scholarships for students within and outside Nigeria,Grassroot Support A household name in party politics with strong support among the grassroots,Capacity and Expertise Member of the Governing Council of Federal College of Education (Technical), Potiskum, Yobe State among others.
The Arewa youth groups are respectfully calling on President Tinubu to consider their zone, particularly Kano, which gave the highest votes to the President during the 2023 general election.
They assure the President that appointing Hon Aminu as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation would be a wise decision, given his capacity, political will, and loyalty.
