The North East zone of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN has pledged its Commitment to ensure compliance with the corporation’s network programming schedule.
The Zonal Director, Babayo Askira made the affirmation at the end of the Zonal Management Committee Meeting, held in Bauchi.
The Zonal Management Committee Meeting, is held periodically to discuss operational and other related matters affecting the seven FM stations and the Zonal office.
North East Zonal Director of FRCN, Babayo Askira explained that the decision followed extensive deliberation on how ensure smooth transmission of all network and local programmes despite power and other challenges.
He pointed out that they resolved that all FM stations within the zone would allocate alternative airtime in the event any station is unable to relay network programme due to power or technical challenge.
The General Managers of Fombina FM, Yola, Dahiru Garba, Globe FM Bauchi, Aminu Abdullahi, Gift FM Jalingo, Alkasim Bala and Jewel FM Gombe, Dr Ubale Danbatta reacted to the resolutions, promising to continue upholding the Radio Nigeria’s slogan of Uplifting the People and Uniting the Nation, through the national and local programmes.
Currently all seven FM stations in the zone to include Globe FM Bauchi, Jewel FM Gombe, Gift FM Jalingo, Fombina FM Yola, Sunshine FM, Potiskum, Wetland FM Gashua and Peace FM Maiduguri are in operation.
