The Kano State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have distance themselves from members who’ve joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition.
Kano PDP Chairman,Yusuf Ado Kibiya, disclosed this during a media briefing held in Kano.
“We categorically distance the Kano State chapter from the breakaway members who have formed a coalition under the African Democratic Congress. This coalition does not represent the interests of the PDP”.
He said this move comes after notable PDP members, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, joined the ADC coalition, aiming to dislodge President Bola Tinubu’s administration in 2027.
” However, the PDP Kano State chapter is reaffirming its unity and commitment to the party’s objectives.”
The Chairman assured that the PDP membership in Kano State is united, focusing on achieving common goals and providing quality leadership.
“The PDP is urging its members to remain focused on the party’s goals and is encouraging citizens to register with the PDP, seeing it as the vehicle for positive change in Kano State and Nigeria. “
He noted that the stand of the Kano PDP on distancing self from the ADC coalition marks a significant stance by the PDP Kano State chapter, highlighting their commitment to their party’s principles and objectives.
Ado Kibiya urged party members to remain committed to the party efforts in ensuring that it’s objectives were being achieved.
