Yobe State Governor Appoints Former Rep Member as New Mai Gudi

Yobe State Governor, Hon. (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni has appointed Hon. Ismaila Ahmed Gadaka as the new Mai Gudi, following the demise of the late Emir, Alh. Isa Bunuwa Madugu Ibn Kaji.

As contained in a statement by the Secretary to the Yobe State Government (SSG), Baba Mallam Wali, Hon. Gadaka boasts an impressive resume, having served as a Member of the House of Representatives for Fika/Fune Federal Constituency from 2011-2019 and as an Honourable Commissioner in the Yobe State Government from 2007-2010.

He has also held various leadership positions, including Chairman of the Governing Council at the Federal College of Education in Yawuri, Kebbi State, and Chairman of the Local Government Project Monitoring and Evaluation Committee, both from 2024 to date.

As a seasoned banker, Hon. Gadaka has worked with prominent institutions like UBA and Standard Trust Bank, rising to the position of Business Manager.

Before his appointment, he held the traditional title of Yariman Gudi.
