KARMA rehabilitates over 11 roads evacuates drainages within 3 months- MD

The kano state government (KNSG), says it has rehabilitated over 11 roads, and evacuated drainages across the eight metropolitan local government areas,in the state.

The managing director, Kano state road maintenance agency (KARMA),Alhaji Hassan Dan Baffa made the disclosure to newsmen in Kano.

According to him, the roads rehabilitated include, Aminu Kano way,Lodge road,Tarauni road,airport road and Kano government house,among others.

The managing director noted that,the drainages evacuated were located within Kano juma’at mosque, Abdullahi Wase road,Kantin kwari market,Ibrahim Taiwo road and Civic center.

Alhaji Hassan maintained that, the Kurna bridge along Katsina road is undergoing repairs, as well as the road linking Anguwar Dabai-Kofar Waika- Anguwar Abba,saying that if completed,the road would go a long way in allevating the suffering of those plying the road.

“KARMA would focus more attention on zero tolerance to port holes across the state”

Speaking on the extension of road construction and rehabilitation to rural areas,he assured kano residents that, KARMA would visit nooks and crannies of the state, to ascertain the level of damages on rural roads, for inclusion in the 2024 proposed budget.

The managing director hinted that,other projects initiated by the present administration is the reconnection of electricity and water supply as well as construction of bore hole, at KARMA office to ensure effective service delivery.

Alhaji Hassan, urged the public to compliment governments efforts by contributing to the development of the state, by calling the attention of KARMA to any road,bridge or drainage that requires urgent Intervention.

The managing director stressed that, the present administration under the leadership of Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, was committed to the welfare of its people through meaningful projects.
