A philanthropic gesture has brought relief to the family of Muazu Mohammad Bukar, an accident victim receiving treatment at the Yobe State University Teaching Hospital (YSUTH) in Damaturu.

Barrister Kashim Musa Tumsah (KMT), a renowned philanthropist, has donated N200,000 in cash support to help offset Muazu’s medical expenses.

Muazu, from Yobe State, was involved in a tragic accident in Benin, Edo State, after sleeping under a stationary trailer. Unaware of his presence, the driver crushed Muazu’s right side as the vehicle started moving.

The victim’s mother, Zara Abdullahi, expressed the family’s gratitude to Barrister Tumsah for his generosity and kindness.

She explained that the family had exhausted their resources and struggled to afford Muazu’s second surgery.

Hajiya Sa’adatu Maina presented the assistance on behalf of Dr. Hassan Gimba and prayed for Muazu’s quick recovery.

Dr. Gimba noted that Barrister Tumsah’s kind gesture was not his first, citing his recent sponsorship of a major healthcare intervention under the Light Up Yobe Initiative.

He added that this initiative provided free medical care to 600 residents of Dikumari Ward in Damaturu.
