The management of Radio Nigeria Pyramid FM has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting peace and security in Kano State through a strategic partnership with the Nigeria Police Force.
The assurance was given by the new General Manager of Pyramid FM, Dr. Garba Ubale Danbatta, during a courtesy visit to the Kano State Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, at the State Police Headquarters.
Dr. Danbatta announced that the station will soon introduce a special one-hour weekly program dedicated to security matters.
The program, he explained, will serve as a platform for the police to highlight their achievements in combating crime while also educating the public on safety measures and ways to contribute to intelligence gathering.
“The police are doing their best to ensure safety in Kano. What they need now is the cooperation of the public, particularly by providing useful intelligence. Pyramid FM is ready to support them by giving airtime for awareness programs,”
He added that since assuming office, Pyramid FM has undergone major reforms that have expanded its reach and strengthened its visibility not only in Kano but also in neighboring states.
According to him, the partnership with the police aligns with the station’s mission to serve as a bridge between security agencies and the community.
The General Manager further assured the Command of the station’s continuous support, stressing that Pyramid FM will always make its platform available to promote initiatives that foster peace, unity, and security.
In his response, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori commended the General Manager for his vision and leadership, which he said had revived Pyramid FM within a short period.
“You are very important to us because you inform the public about our efforts in securing lives and property. We urge you to continue educating citizens about the importance of peace and security,”
CP Bakori also appealed to other media organizations to emulate Pyramid FM by strengthening public enlightenment campaigns on the need for peaceful coexistence.
He noted that constant awareness and sensitization remain vital tools in curbing criminal activities and promoting safety across the state.
