The Federal Government has highlighted its midterm achievements, showcasing various interventions aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians.
Speaking at a sensitisation campaign held in Damaturu, the Yobe State Capital, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idriss, said Federal Government achievements include the Student Loan Scheme, Consumer Credit Corporation, Skill Up Artisan Programme, and National Youth Talent Export Programme.
Represented by the Head of the Federal Information Centre in the state, Hussaini Umaru Makwai, the Information Minister pointed out that the interventions are designed to provide equal opportunities for all Nigerians, regardless of their political, ethnic, or religious differences.
Mohammed Idriss also highlighted the federal government’s efforts to boost the power sector, including the Rural Electrification initiative, which aims to electrify one million rural homes.
He further explained that the government has established six Regional Development Commissions, disbursing almost N4 trillion to transform critical infrastructure in the six regions.
The Minister added that the sensitisation campaign is part of the government’s efforts to engage with citizens and provide feedback on its programmes and policies.
