Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has reiterated his administration’s commitment to revitalizing healthcare delivery through the reconstruction of the Infectious and General Hospital Bayara in Bauchi local government area.
The Governor made the commitment when he paid an unscheduled visit to the hospital where he expressed displeasure over the operational standards of the facility.
Conducted round the premises by the Chairman of the State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Sambo Alkali, Governor Bala Mohammed described the Bayara hospital as a major centre of hope for the treatment of the common man for over a century.
He explained that the government has designed a plan to upgrade hospitals across the state in a manner that would expand their capacity to accommodate a greater number of patients.
The Governor further assured that before the expiration of his tenure in 2027, additional hospitals would be constructed both within and outside the state capital to meet the growing demand for medical treatment.
Bala Mohammed maintained that strengthening healthcare institutions remains a priority of his administration stressing that no community in Bauchi State should be left behind in the access to quality medical care.
