Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has expressed satisfaction with the progress of the ongoing reconstruction of the Yola Modern Market and Jimeta Shopping Complex.
The governor expressed satisfaction after an inspection visit to the market, where he described the project as a landmark development that will transform business activities in Adamawa State.
Fintiri assured that the project will be completed on schedule and to the highest standards, emphasizing the importance of close supervision to ensure value for money, quality delivery, and adherence to specifications.
The governor said the modern shopping complex will provide a world-class business environment comparable to those in major international cities.
Fintiri commended the contractors and consultants for maintaining quality and keeping to the project timeline.
Governor Fintiri assured that the state government will continue to monitor progress to ensure timely completion, adding that by April next year, the Northeast will witness its first ultra-modern shopping mall.
Also, the site engineer, Sulaiman Sanusi, said the project has helped in providing jobs for unemployed youths and assured that it will be completed and handed over to the state government within the agreed period.
