Radio Nigeria, Northeast Acting Zonal Director, Dahiru Garba Muhammad has called on members of staff of Gift FM Jalingo to exhibit diligence in discharging their duties.
Mallam Muhammad gave the charge during an inspection visit to the station in Jalingo, Taraba State.
The visit is part of the Zonal Director’s official tour of stations across the northeast zone, aimed at assessing the ongoing installation of solar panels provided by the North East Development Commission (NEDC)to aid the station’s activities.
During an interactive session with staff, the Zonal Director encouraged Gift FM staff to develop content to serve the interests of Taraba residents, underscoring that the station’s establishment was purposefully geared towards serving the state.
Mallam Muhammad further emphasized the growing importance of digital content in modern broadcasting, stressing that Gift FM must strengthen its online presence to effectively reach wider audiences.
He highlighted this strategic shift as pivotal for the station’s future relevance and impact in the evolving media landscape.
Meanwhile, members of staff were trained on how to manage their operations on social media.
Head of ICT, North East Zone, Yazid Abubakar facilitated the training urging the media team to engage online audiences by frequently updating the station’s social media accounts.
The General Manager of Gift FM Jalingo Mr. Emmanuel Jimmy commended the Zonal Director and his team for the visit and promised to use the opportunity of the newly installed solar system in the station to sensitise the citizens on policies and programmes of the state and the Country at large.
