Management of Radio Nigeria Gift FM Jalingo have affirmed their commitment to work closely with Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Taraba state Council.
General Manager of the station, Emmanuel Ejim, made the promise when he led management staff of the station on a courtesy visit to officials of the Union in Jalingo.
Ejim acknowledged the pivotal role and efforts of NUJ in advancing journalists’ welfare and upholding ethical standards in journalism, stressing that Gift FM’s partnership with the Union will foster professional practice in the state.
He described Radio Nigeria GIFTFM as a station dedicated to serving the people of Taraba state, highlighting their determination to deliver impactful content.
Also speaking, Chairman, Taraba state Correspondent Chapel Comrade Gabriel Yough commended the management of the station for taking time to strengthen their relationship with the union pledging that the Chapel will always collaborate with the station.
In a remark, Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists Taraba state Council, Comrade Eliu Jen congratulated Emmanuel Ejim on his recent appointment as the General Manager expressing confidence in his leadership capabilities.
He noted that Radio Nigeria Gift FM Jalingo was primarily established to benefit residents of Taraba and as well promote policies and programmes of both state and federal governments through its medium.
The Chairman maintained that NUJ in Taraba State will continue to serve the people and protect the interest of journalists.
Comrade Jen used the opportunity to call on Taraba state government to support Radio Nigeria Gift FM Jalingo and other media organisations in the state.
