The Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria FRCN Northeast Zone, has concluded a one day training for its staff, aimed at equipping them with the necessary skills to leverage social media platforms for better engagement and operations.
Facilitated by the New Zonal Director Alh. Mohammed Dahiru Garba, and the General Manager Radio Nigeria Sunshine FM Yobe Mohammed Bose, the engagement would build a stronger mindset among staff, enabling them to effectively utilize social media to promote the station’s activities and engage with listeners.
In his presentation during the training the resource person and the head of ICT Northeast Zone Yazid Abubakar urge all the participants to embrace the use of AI and Modern technology to meet Global Media Standards.
Held at the premises of Radio Nigeria Sunshine FM Yobe, the engagement focuses on:
- Social Media Strategy: Understanding how to develop a robust social media strategy tailored to the station’s needs.
- Content Creation: Learning how to create engaging content that resonates with the audience.
- Digital Media Management: Best practices for managing digital media, including handling feedback and criticism.
The training’s objective was to also, enable staff to effectively utilize social media to promote the station’s activities and to showcase the importance of digital media in Nigeria’s media landscape to be competitive and relevant.
