A Fulani group, Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has appealed to the National Assembly to allocate adequate funding to the Ministry of Livestock Development in the 2025 budget.

KACRAN National President, Khalil Moh’d Bello, in an interview with Radio Nigeria, emphasized the ministry’s crucial role in addressing challenges within the livestock sector, promoting peace and unity, particularly between farmers and herders.

He urged the National Assembly to significantly increase the proposed budget for the Ministry of Livestock Development.

Bello emphasized the ministry’s potential to create numerous jobs, attract investment, and bolster national food security.

He also underscored the necessity of addressing the needs of livestock farmers, especially those in remote areas with limited access to government services.

KACRAN considers the livestock sector vital to the national economy, significantly contributing to revenue generation and providing essential products for Nigerians.
