The National Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Alhassan Yahya, has arrived in Jalingo for a three-day working visit to interact with members of the union in Taraba State.
Speaking shortly after his arrival at the Danbaba Suntai Airport, Jalingo, Comrade Yahya expressed delight over the level of infrastructural development witnessed in the state.
He commended Governor Agbu Kefas for the transformation projects, particularly in the areas of education, agriculture, and infrastructure across the sixteen local government areas of the state.
Comrade Yahya explained that his visit to Taraba State is aimed at inspecting some of the projects executed by the present administration and to strengthen the relationship between the national and state councils of the union.
In a remark, the Taraba State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Mathew Eliud Jen, appreciated the national chairman for the visit, describing it as an honour to journalists in the state.
He expressed optimism that the visit would further motivate members of the union to uphold professionalism and unity within the NUJ family in Taraba State.
