The Environmental Health Council of Nigeria, EHCON, has inducted over fifty graduates of Public Health, Epidemiology, and Disease Control from Garu Islamic College of Health Technology, Bauchi, as Public Health Superintendents.

Registrar of the Council, Dr Yakubu Mohammed Baba, represented by Zonal Director, Dr Abdurrashid Usman, urged the inductees to uphold professional ethics, dedication, and integrity in the discharge of their duties.

He explained that the induction symbolised the completion of their two-year academic journey and officially qualified them to practise public health anywhere across the country.

Provost of the College, Shu’aibu Umar Saleh, advised the inductees to avoid misconduct, reminding them of the rigorous training they underwent and to remain worthy ambassadors of the institution.

He also encouraged them to further their education, noting that a diploma in public health alone was insufficient in the fast-evolving global health landscape.

Head of the Public Health Department, Dr Admu Muhammad, who presented the graduands for induction, expressed confidence in their competence and readiness to contribute to public health development.

In a goodwill message, the State Chairman of JIBWIS, Dr Zubairu Abubakar Madaki, represented by Malam Adamu Malami Sidi, urged the inductees to be professional and committed to promoting community health and environmental hygiene.
