Yobe State Government Provides Power Solution for Potiskum Specialist Hospital

The Yobe State Government has taken a significant step towards improving healthcare delivery in Potiskum by providing two brand-new MARAPCO MP500 generators to the Potiskum Specialist Hospital.

As contained in a statement by the Special Assistant on Information and Communication to the Chairman, Potiskum Local Government, Ibrahim M. Nura, the generators will ensure uninterrupted electricity supply and support life-saving medical activities.

The intervention comes after complaints over chronic power shortages caused by the breakdown of the hospital’s previous generating sets.

According to statement, with the new generators, the hospital is expected to provide quality medical services without fear of outage-related complications.

It indicate that the development is in line with Governor Mai Mala Buni’s commitment to modernizing healthcare infrastructure and ensuring that citizens have access to reliable health services in safe and well-powered facilities.

Potiskum Specialist Hospital is now positioned to serve patients more efficiently, reinforcing its role as a premium referral health institution in Yobe South.

The statement added that improved power architecture will support critical operations, emergency response, and essential diagnostic equipment, ultimately enhancing the overall quality of healthcare services.
