Governor Inuwa Yahaya Hosts National Defence College Senior Course Participants, Emphasizes Industrialization as Key to Security and Development
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, says sustainable security and national development can only be achieved through deliberate efforts toward industrialization and economic empowerment.
The Governor stated this while receiving participants of Senior Course Thirty-Four, Team Five, of the National Defence College, Abuja, who are on a study tour of Gombe State.
He described the theme of the study tour, Optimizing Natural Resources for Industrialization, National Development, and Security in Nigeria, as timely and relevant, adding that its outcomes could fast-track Nigeria’s socio-economic progress.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya highlighted key state projects such as the “Network Eleven Hundred” road initiative and the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park in Dadin Kowa as part of his administration’s commitment to infrastructure-led development and industrial transformation.
He also noted that proactive measures by his government, including controlled grazing during harvest seasons, have helped reduce farmer-herder conflicts in the state.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Brigadier General Olumide Adeleke Ojo, commended the Governor for his purposeful leadership and infrastructural achievements, describing them as vital to sustainable industrialization and national security.
