The African Democratic Congress (ADC) says its doors remain open to new members, willing to join the party.

The Yobe State Leader of the party, Adamu Maina Waziri, made the statement at the inauguration of the state party’s secretariat and unveiling of members of the Transitional Working Committee in Damaturu, the state capital.

Waziri charged the newly formed committees with the critical mission of rebuilding the party from the grassroots.

He explained that the Transitional Leadership Committee, chaired by former House of Representatives member Mohammed Kori, will identify new officers and drive public awareness of the ADC’s revitalised agenda.

The ADC Leader further states that the Committee for Registration and Revalidation, led by Dr Mohammad Ibrahim Jawa, has the urgent task of revalidating existing members and enrolling new ones.

According to him, both committees have a strict 90-day deadline to replicate their structures down to the local government, ward, and polling unit levels, preparing for congresses that will elect permanent leaders ahead of the national convention.

He added that the party aim to become Yobe’s leading opposition party by the 2027 general elections.
