Troops of 6 Brigade Nigerian Army Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke have successfully rescued a kidnapped victim, Alhaji Shuaibu,40, in Yaja Village, Lau Local Government Area of Taraba State.
In a statement by the Brigade’s Public Relations Officer, Lieutenant Umar Muhammad disclosed that the victim was kidnapped on the 9th of December and rescued on December 11, 2025, following credible intelligence on the activities of suspected kidnappers in the area.
According to the statement, troops acted swiftly, launching a hot pursuit mission that led to the abandonment of the victim by the criminals.
Reacting to the development, Commander 6 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, commended the troops for their prompt response and professionalism, reaffirming the Brigade’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property in Taraba State.
Brigadier General Uwa equally assured the people of Taraba State of a peaceful and secure festive season, urging residents to remain vigilant and provide timely information to support security operations.
