The Radio Nigeria Sunshine FM Potiskum, Yobe State, has commended the North East Development Commission (NEDC) for its significant impact on the Radio Station for the installation of a solar power system.
While expressing appreciation the General Manager of the FM Station, Muhammad Abubakar Bose, said the project has improved the station’s energy supply and enhanced its broadcasting capabilities.
According to him, the solar installation has ensured a reliable and consistent power supply, reducing downtime and increasing broadcast hours.
Mr Bose pointed out that the solar power system has enabled staff to work efficiently, producing high-quality content without interruptions.
He further explained that the solar system has also enabled the station to increase its signal strength, extending its coverage area and reach.
Additionally, it has reduced the station’s reliance on fuel-powered generators, resulting in significant cost savings.
The GM Sunshine FM reaffirmed the station’s commitment to a continued partnership with NEDC, towards ensuring wider publicity and awareness to the public on the commission’s policies and programmes.
He added that the solar installation is a testament to NEDC’s commitment to improving the lives of people in the North East region, and its impact is expected to be felt by the community for a long time.
