Hospital Offers Free Medical Services To Indigents

Hinsad General Hospital, Inkil in Bauchi local government area, organises a two-day free medical outreach targeting about one thousand indigents for medical consultation, screening and surgical operations.

Speaking to journalists at the hospital’s premises, the Administrative Secretary of the Hospital, Abdulqadir Garba, said the essence of free medical services was to assist the indigents as part of the facility’s corporate social responsibility.

Abdulqadir Garba said so far, over five hundred people have undergone medical consultation and screening while others were undergoing theatre of various ailments.

The lead medical officer and Director of Hospital, Dr Ado Musa said the the most common diseases detected in the people who presented to the facility were diabetes and hypertension.

Dr Ado Musa who noted that other reported cases that were taken care of by the medical team include Hernia, hydrocele, breast lump and cataract, called on people to go for regular checks to ascertain their health status.

Parents to some pediatric beneficiaries, Fatima Shu’aibu, Sa’id Ibrahim and Bilkisu Bala expressed gratitude to the management of the hospital and prayed Allah to reward organisers abundantly.

Meanwhile, some well wishers who spoke to Radio Nigeria, Mohammad Sabo, Mohammed Nata’ala Baba and Bala Abdullahi Malele described the medical outreach as rare gesture and called on other well to do individuals to emulate.
