The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Yobe State Council, has extended its heartfelt condolences to Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, the government and people of the state, following the tragic boat mishap in Garbi, Nguru Local Government Area.
In a statement, jointly signed by the Council Chairman Comrade Rajab Ismail Mohammed and the Council Secretary Alhassan Sule Mamudo condoled with the families affected, mourning the loss of lives and standing in solidarity with them.
The statement indicates that NUJ stands in solidarity with the families of the victims during this challenging period and prayed for comfort, strength, and fortitude for them to bear the irreparable loss.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families affected by this sorrowful event, as well as the government and people of Yobe State, as they navigate through this painful period,” the statement read.
The union further prayed that the families would find solace in the collective support and compassion of the people around them.
