The Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has formally expressed support for the administration of Yobe State Governor, Hon. (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni, describing his leadership as inclusive, compassionate and people-oriented.
In a statement signed by its National President, Hon. Khalil Moh’d Bello, the association said the achievements recorded in Yobe State and within the national political space over the past seven years are a direct reflection of Governor Buni’s leadership style, which prioritises peace, unity and human development.
The association particularly praised the governor’s decision in 2019 to relinquish his influential national position to answer the call of the Yobe people, describing it as a rare act of selflessness that underscores his commitment to grassroots development and the welfare of the common man.
Assessing the administration’s performance, KACRAN highlighted Governor Buni’s human-centric policies, especially in the areas of health, education, economic empowerment and agriculture.
It commended Yobe State’s emergence as the top-ranked state in the North East and Nigeria in 2025 for basic healthcare services, a feat recognised by the United Nations through a performance-based grant.
On economic development, the association endorsed the 2026 “Budget of Job Creation,” which allocates substantial funds for the completion of modern markets in Damaturu, Potiskum, Gashua, Nguru and Geidam.
According to KACRAN, the projects are critical to tackling unemployment and stimulating local commerce.
The association also applauded the state government’s partnership with the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (L-PRES) project and other international donor agencies to modernise livestock development, describing the initiative as vital to the livelihoods of cattle rearers and rural communities.
KACRAN further described Governor Buni as a man of wisdom and a “great arbitrator,” noting his ability to build a team of high-integrity officials, including the Deputy Governor, Secretary to the State Government, commissioners and other senior civil servants, who work collectively to deliver good governance.
The association congratulated Governor Buni on his recent appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Chairman of the APC Committee on Strategy, Conflict Resolution and Mobilisation, saying the appointment affirms his reputation as a leader committed to peace, unity and national stability.
KACRAN further reaffirmed its unwavering support for Governor Buni, describing him as a leader willing to make sacrifices for the well-being of his people, while offering prayers for his continued success in steering Yobe State toward lasting peace and prosperity.
