The inauguration ceremony took place in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital.
Speaking at the event, the party’s state leader, Adamu Maina Waziri, described the development as a major step toward strengthening the ADC’s structure and expanding its presence across Yobe State.
Waziri announced the establishment of two key committees, approved by the party’s national leadership, to oversee and deepen the affairs of the ADC nationwide.
He explained that the Transitional Leadership Committee will work closely with the former state leadership to expand the party, identify offices, sensitize the public, and strengthen party activities, with support from representatives of each senatorial district.
He also disclosed the inauguration of the Committee for Registration, which has been directed to commence work immediately.
The Party Chieftain, pointed out that the committee, supervised by Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Jawa, will oversee the revalidation of existing members and the registration of new members.
Waziri added that the committee comprises a secretary and three members drawn from each sector, making a total of eleven members.
The State ADC Chairman, Alhaji Umar Kalli, urged the Local Government Transitional Committee chairmen to work toward party unity, with the goal of holding congresses and a national convention within 90 days.
Alhaji Kalli stated that both committees are expected to replicate their structures at the state, local government, ward, and unit levels.
According to him, this is aimed at preparing the party for congresses that will elect permanent leaders at all levels, culminating in a national convention expected to hold within their tenure.
