The Commissioner of Police, Borno State Command, CP Naziru Abdulmajid, has yesterday, 16th February 2026, decorated three hundred and forty-six (346) Inspectors who were recently elevated to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP II).
The ceremony, which was held at the Command Headquarters, marks a significant milestone in the career progression of the affected officers.
This made known to newsmen by ASP kenieth Nuhum Daso in a press statement.
The statement said on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, PNPM, and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, the CP congratulated the officers on their well-deserved promotions.
He lauded their resilience, professionalism, and consistent contributions to the safety and security of Borno State.
The release stated that, CP Abdulmajid emphasized that higher rank translates to higher responsibility. He then reminded the newly promoted ASPs that the public expects greater accountability, leadership, and discipline.
The Commissioner urged the officers to rededicate themselves to the service of the nation, maintain the highest standards of integrity, and continue to serve with courage and diligence.
Speaking on behalf of the promotees, ASP Alison Balla expressed profound gratitude to the Police Leadership and the Police Service Commission for the elevation. He reaffirmed the officers’ unwavering loyalty and their commitment to enhancing policing efforts and public safety across the state.
