The First Lady of Bauchi State Aisha Bala Mohammed has congratulated women across Bauchi State and around the world as they mark the 2026 International Women’s Day, celebrating their strength, resilience and contributions to society.
In a message to commemorate the day, the First Lady described women as key pillars in the development of families, communities and the nation, noting that their roles in leadership, education, caregiving and innovation continue to shape a better future for the society.
She commended women for their determination and courage in overcoming challenges and breaking barriers in different fields, stressing that their efforts remain invaluable to national growth and social progress.
Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed also emphasized the importance of empowering women through access to quality education, improved healthcare and expanded economic opportunities, in line with the 2026 theme, “Rights, Justice, Action for All Women and Girls.”
She noted that Bauchi State, under the leadership of Governor Bala Mohammed, remains committed to implementing programmes and initiatives that support women and provide them with the tools needed to succeed and contribute meaningfully to the development of the state.
The First Lady therefore encouraged women to continue supporting and inspiring one another while working together to promote gender equality, and wished all women a happy International Women’s Day.
