Nigerian Army commissions, hand overs completed (CIMIC) Projects to community in Gombe.

The Nigerian Army has facilitated, commissioned and handed over various Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) Projects in Gombe State.

In a statement the Army’s acting Assistant Director Public Relations
301 Artillery Regiment (General Support) Gombe, Captain MO ATTAH, says the projects, located in Lawaltu community, Billiri Local Government Area, were executed by Major General JY Maina, Accompanied by the Ag Director Department of Civil Military Affairs Brig Gen PB Koughna.

It says the projects include a renovated primary health center, 2 Blocks of 5 Classrooms, Exercise/Text Books with writing materials, School Toilet Facilities and Borehole Water Tanks.

According to the statement During the commissioning ceremony the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General TA Lagbaja (NAM) represented by Major General Joseph Maina emphasised the importance of supporting communities and fostering partnerships with civilians to address security challenges, increase harmonious relations between communities across the country and provide essential infrastructure.

It explains that the COAS, emphasized the role of citizens in providing timely information to security agencies, further stating that the event, underscored the significance of the projects in fostering community empowerment and providing adequate medical facilities.

The statement added that the commissioning ceremony was attended by government officials, traditional leaders, military personnel, and members of the community, reflecting a collaborative effort towards enhancing security and community development.
