ICPC Commends Yobe Gov’t Commitment to its Fight Against Corruption.

The Yobe State Government has been recognized as the most committed state in fighting corruption by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC).

This acknowledgement came during a courtesy visit by the ICPC’s Management Team to Governor Mai Mala Buni in Damaturu, the state capital.

The Resident Commissioner of the ICPC, In-Charge of Borno and Yobe States Lynuis Gubi, who led the delegation, praised the state government’s efforts, emphasizing the importance of establishing Anti-Corruption Units within state ministries and local government councils to further strengthen the fight against corruption.

Responding, Governor Mai Mala Buni expressed appreciation for the recognition and assured his administration’s readiness to collaborate with the ICPC on training government officials on corruption-related issues.

The visit concluded with the presentation of a plaque to Governor Buni by the Resident Anti-Corruption Commissioner.
