Bauchi Governor unveils 7.3 Billion Naira Road Projects.

In continuation of the provision of infrastructural development, Bauchi  state government has inaugurated construction of three strategic roads across  the state .

The projects include the thirteen killomitres Warji linking Gwaram roads in Jigawa state, eleven point three killomitres Bogoro to Lusa and eleven killomitres Boi to Tafshin road in Tafawa Balewa local government area.

Speaking at the Ground Breaking Ceremony, the state Governor Bala Muhammad said the projects under his administration Urban Renewal Programmes was to stimulate socioeconomic growth across the state.

Bala Muhammad who expressed concern that the state was  unable to meet up with the growing demands for road networks to ease  transportation challenges in both rural and urban areas maintained that the development would unclock hidden potentials and improve living standard of people.

According to the Governor  all the projects were awarded at the sum over seven point three billion naira with advance payment of thirty percent, expressing confidence that quality work would be delivered considering the track records of the contracting companies.

The Special Quest at the occasion, former Senate President David Mark while commending the Governor’s transformation initiative said the move would encourage massive production and transportation of Agricultural products from rural to urban areas.

Senator David Mark called on the Governor to consolidate on his achievements for the overall development of the state.

Also speaking, the state Commissiioner for works  Abdulkadir Ibrahim said the ministry would intensify monitoring and evaluation to ensure adherence to contractual agreement.

All the projects are to be completed in twenty four dry months.
