Bauchi Reps Move a Motion for the Construction of 45 Kilometers Rural Roads.

The Member representing Bauchi Federal Constituency Alhaji Aliyu Aminu Garu has called on the Federal Government to construct the 45 Kilometer Tutun Gambo to Gigera road in Bauchi local government area of the state.

Presenting a motion on the matter at the House of representatives plenary, Aliyu Garu said if constructed, the road will connect several communities to include Tudun Gambo, Wuro Gauri, Shafa Kasuwa, Badakoshi, Sabon Kaura, Yelwa, Yola Daka Yuguda, Gwaramba, Bajaman Kogi, Juwara and Dadinkowa Gigera all under his constituency.

He told the house that the deplorable state of the road is causing untold hardship to residents in terms of transportation, trade transaction and access to essential services such as healthcare and education.

According to the lawmaker, lack of access road in the area has hampered economic activities in the region, impacting negatively on the livelihoods of the people who depend on the transportation of goods and services.

Garu also said also listed some of the benefits of the road construction to include improved connectivity of the area, economic growth, enhance access to social amenities, and ultimately improve the quality of life.

Responding, the Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajuddeen Abbas who urged the North-East Development Commission to consider the construction of the 45 kilometre road, also mandated the Committees on North-East Development Commission and Legislative compliance to ensure compliance.
