Bauchi State Judicial Service Commission, has organized two days workshop for judicial staff across the state in preparation for the forthcoming 2025 batch A promotional examinations within the Judiciary.
Declaring the workshop opened, the State Chief Judge Justice Rabi Talatu Umar who noted that the judiciary plays crucial role in the administration of justice and the sustenance of democracy called on them to be attentive throughout the period.
Justice Rabi Talatu Umar who is also the State Chairman Judicial Service Commission said the aim of the workshop was to enable them discharge their responsibility optimally and remain competent, up-to-date, and equipped with the requisite knowledge and skills.
Represented by Justice MA Sambo, the Chief Judge noted that the importance of regular assessments, training and retraining are strategic tools for ensuring excellence, integrity and efficiency within the judicial system.
In an interview, Secretary of the Commission Dr Ibrahim Danjuma noted that the promotional examinations would be transparent and merit-based process to advance deserving staff to next grade levels.
Dr Ibrahim Danjuma explained that the Commission is committed to shift from analogue to digital e-filing to ease operations and ensure efficiency.
While commending Governor Bala Muhammad for championing the course of judicial independence, the Secretary of the Commission said they are working towards ensuring speedy dispensation of justice.
In a presentation entitled, Bauchi State Judiciary; evolution, function and characteristics, a retired Deputy Director of the High Court, Alhaji Saidu Abdulkarim stressed the need for courts process migration to electronics as being done in some other places.
In another presentation titled, basic tools of administration, a retired Permanent Secretary Alhaji Sani Ahmad Sani encouraged the participants to widen search for knowledge to enable them excel.
The two days workshop drew qualified judicial staff for the 2025 batch A promotion from across 20 local government areas of the state.
