Yobe State Government Celebrates Peaceful Start to 2025, Highlights 2024 Achievements.

The Yobe State Government has congratulated its citizens on peacefully entering the new year 2025.

Governor Mai Mala Buni conveyed his appreciation to the people of Yobe State in a statement issued by his Director General of Press and Media Affairs, Alhaji Mamman Muhammad.

The statement acknowledged the successes of 2024, despite challenges such as flooding and isolated security incidents.

It noted that significant progress was achieved in agriculture, food security, security, and providing financial support to small and medium-scale entrepreneurs, Cash grants for empowerment aimed at job creation and economic growth were also highlighted.

Infrastructural development, service delivery, road construction, healthcare, and education also saw substantial commitment and progress.

The statement further emphasized that Yobe State was the first to establish a state Ministry of Livestock after the federal government and intends to push for improved livestock production.

Governor Buni assured the public that the new year will see the completion of existing projects and the initiation of new ones.

He expressed gratitude to the people of Yobe for their understanding, resilience, and support for the government, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to supporting security agencies to maintain the state’s peace and stability.

The Governor called on the people to continue to cooperate with the government and security forces to build a more stable, socially, and economically prosperous Yobe State.
