NSCDC Gombe Command Passes Out 66 Trained Private Guards.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Gombe State Command, has passed out 66 private guards drawn from 16 licensed private guard companies operating in the state.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Buhari Saad, on Friday, July 18, 2025.

The two-week intensive training, aimed at equipping the guards with essential security skills, culminated in a passing-out ceremony at the Command headquarters. The training focused on professionalism, discipline, and vigilance to enhance their contribution to national security.

Speaking at the event, the Head of Private Guard Companies (PGC), DCC Otaru Jimoh, briefed the State Commandant on the training activities and emphasized the importance of maintaining standards in private security services.

Also addressing the guards, the Head of Training and Manpower Development, DCC Mannir D. Mohammed, urged them to uphold the values of the Corps and remain dedicated in their assignments.

In a goodwill message, the Gombe State Chairman of the Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria (ALPSN), Abubakar Sambo represented by ASP John Audu (Rtd) commended the Command’s support in improving the quality of private security in the state.

Commandant CC Jibrin Idris congratulated the newly passed-out guards and reminded them of their vital role in protecting lives, property, and critical infrastructure. He advised them to be disciplined, loyal, and professional in all their duties.

He also appreciated the Commandant General, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, MNI, OFR, for his continued support in regulating and standardizing private guard operations nationwide.
