Army Chief inaugurates projects at armoured corps headquarters Bauchi

The Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Taoreeq Abiodun Lagbaja has commission the newly ultra modern Nigerian Army Armoured Corps headquarters complex, fire service station as well as petroleum oil lubricants at Obieunu barracks Bauchi to improve operational efficiency of the corps.

Speaking at the commissioning of the projects at the Barracks General Taoreeq Lagbaja said despite financial constraints several combat platforms of the corps have been repaired at Army command Engineering Depot to enhance their operational performance.

The army chief commended the army armoured corps commander for initiating the legacy projects stressing that the Nigerian Army headquarters remains committed to support the corps in achieving success.

General Lagbaja also called on Nigerian army to remain loyal, discipline and reaffirmed committed in providing all logistics needed as well as improved welfare package.

Also speaking the commander Nigerian Army Armoured corps Major General Sani Ahmed said the construction of the new armoured corps complex is an commitment of the Army Chief to enhance operational efficiency.

General Ahmed appreciated the chief of army staff for approving the projects and reaffirmed commitment for the loyalty and support to him at all times.

On his part Bauchi State Governor Bala Muhammad commended General Taoreeq Lagbaja for his commitment to transform the Nigerian Army.

The Governor represented by his Deputy Muhammad Auwal Jatau promised to continue support the Nigerian army and other security outfits to deal with any form of criminal activities across the state.
