Gov. Yusuf Charges Corps Members to Respect Host Communities’ Culture, Beliefs

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has urged Batch B Stream 1 corps members of 2024 to respect the norms, values, and religion of their host communities, aimed at promoting a peaceful nation.

The Governor stated this during the opening ceremony of the Stream B batch 1 2024 Orientation training held at the permanent orientation camp ,Kusalla Karaye Local government area of Kano State.

Represented by Commissioner for Youths, Alhaji Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso, the governor assured the commitment of his administration to supporting the NYSC scheme and ensuring the safety of corps members during their service year.

“Let me also assure you that this administration will work with security agencies to guarantee your safety during the service year. On our part, the State Government will continue to provide the enabling environment for you to discharge your responsibilities and reward those of you who excel during the service year. “

NYSC Coordinator in Kano, Hajiya Halima Abubakar, appreciated stakeholders, collaborating agencies, and camp officials for their contributions to ensure the orientation exercise’s success.

“On this note, It is my pleasure to inform our invited guests that with the level of commitment and dedication exhibited so far by this set of corps members, I am optimistic that we are going to have a smooth orientation exercise and hence a productive service year”

Once again, I wish to express my profound gratitude to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Eng. Abba Kabir Yusuf for his remarkable and unwavering support to the NYSC Scheme Our special thanks also goes to all our stakeholders and collaborating agencies and the entire camp officials for their immense contributions to the success of this Exercise.

The ceremony was attended by Head of Security agencies in Kano,and other stakeholders.
