Gombe State Vows To Ensure Food Security

The Chairman Gombe state house of Assembly committee on Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Mohammad Kabir Suleiman, says the state house of Assembly in collaboration with the state ministry of Agriculture would Iron out strategies to ensure food security in the state.
Mohammed Kabir Suleiman stated this when he led the Committee Members to the Gombe state ministry of Agriculture on an oversight function.
He said, the ministry as food basket of the state, needs to create a synergy with Fund appropriators like state house of Assembly to boost Food and Animal production in the state.
The chairman of the committee said the state government would continue to provide necessary agricultural implements like fertilizer and insecticide to farmers to ensure bumper harvest.
In his respond the state commissioner of agriculture and animal husbandry Doctor Barnabas Malle Expressed Appreciation for the visit, and assured the determination of the ministry to collaborate with Gombe state house of Assembly in it’s quest to boost the agricultural sector in the state.
Doctor Barnabas Malle who thanks the state Governor Mohammad Inuwa yahaya for the opportunity given to him to serve the state through the ministry pledging to use his experience to contribute towards revitalizing farming activities.
He said as chairman, Gombe state farmers and herders settlement committee, he would continue to put heads together with traditional and Other community leaders to avoid clash especially during the harvesting period.
