Nigeria Demographic and Health Survey, Pivotal to National Development -Chairman NPC

The ongoing Demographic and Health Survey in Kano state and other parts of the Country has been described as the major of enhancing national development.
The Chairman, National Population Commission Alhaji Nasir Isa Kwarra disclosed this while briefing journalist during the launch of 2023-2024 Demographic and Health Survey , held at Kano office of the National Population Commission.
Represented by the Kano State Director Alhaji Isma’ila Hassan Dogo said the commencement of the demographic health survey was a collective dedication to advancing the field of knowledge,policy formulation ,and, crucially, the health landscape of the Nation.
He said for over three decades , NPC has spearheaded the implementation of the Demographic Health Survey,in close collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health,and Key Partners.
Alhaji Isa Kwarra extra Explained that the survey has been instrumental in providing invaluable insights that inform evidence based policies ,enhance public health interventions ,and contribute to boarder development agenda of the Nation.
He reassured the commitment of NPC in providing the needed Data for effective policy planning .
The state Director lauded the cooperation being accorded by the general populace in ensuring that the stated objectives were being achieved.
The survey is currently ongoing in some selected Local government areas of Kano State .
