Commissioner Give 72 Hours Ultimatum To State Waste Plant Company

Bauchi state Commissioner of Housing and Environment Danlami Ahmad Kawule has given seventy four hours ultimatum to the State Waste Wealth Recycling Plant to provide a comprehensive record of its activities.

He also gave two weeks ultimatum to the contractor handling the reconstruction of Agro Climate Resilience Project ACRESAL permanent site to complete work. The Commissioner gave the instruction during a familiarisation visit to agencies under his ministry.

Danlami Ahmad Kawule who said it was illegal for government officials to lease out a company or agency to somebody without proper documentation, noted that the recycling plant is capable of providing employment to over one thousand youth in the state.

He promised to look into the issue of broken down vehicles to include Garbage trucks and tipper at the State Environmental Protection Agency BASEPA to ensure a clean environment.

Responding, the Director General BASEPA Dr Ibrahim Kabir Gamawa who highlighted some of the achievements and problems facing the agency, appealed for support from the Commissioner to strengthen its operation.
