Troops of 81 Taskforce Battalion Operation Hadin Kai have rescued another Chibok girl, Mary Nkeki in Dikwa, Borno state. 

Presenting the rescued girl to newsmen at the headquarters Theatre Command Maimalari Cantonment, Theatre Commander Joint Taskforce Operation Hadin Kai Major General Gold Chibuisi said Mary was rescued on 14th August during military operation in the area.

He explained that 27 year old Mary Nkeki was on serial number 55 of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls lists.

“Consolidating on the numerous successes recorded so far, troops of Operation Hadin Kai have again rescued another Chibok girl, Mary Nkeki on the 14th of August, this year ” Major General Chibuisi said.

The Theatre Commander said while in captivity, Mary was married to a Boko Haram fighter, Malam Adam.

According to him, the Chibok girl has undergone medical examination and will be handed over to officials of Borno state government. 

In an interview, Mary Nkeki said she has spent almost ten years in captivity and expressed joy over her rescue. 

According to her, she was forcefully married to two different Boko Haram fighters and had a child but later died.
