Chief Imam of Abuja Central Mosque urges Islamic Religious bodies to prioritise the real teachings of Islam.

The Chief Imam of Abuja Central Mosque, Professor Ibrahim Ahmad Maqari has stressed the need for the Islamic religious bodies to prioritise the real teaching of islam rather than promoting their ideologies.
He made the call while delivering his speech at the Ashafa Relief Foundation in partnership with Annur Charitable Foundation first Qur’anic memorisation Graduation and Skills acquisition ceremony held in Kaduna.
Sheikh Ibrahim Maqari noted that, Muslims are supposed to work together towards a common goal set by the Quran and shown by the Prophet Mohammed PBUH.
He emphasized the need for the Muslims perticulerly clerics to accord more attention in promoting Da’awah and uniting ummah in their preachings and sermons.

Unguwar Sanusi Constituency at the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Alhaji Auwal Yahaya Yaro Mekyau revealed that acquiring both Qur’anic Knowledge and Skills would assist students to become self employed after graduation and was a step in the right direction.
Alhaji Auwal commended Ashafa Relief Foundation for the initiative of impacting Islamic Knowledge and Skills to Students at the same, saying that, it would go along away in supporting younger generation to become self dependant.
He stressed the need for wealthy individuals to join hands in strengthening clerics to continue with such initiatives on teaching Qur’anic memorisation and skills to students.
In an interview with newsmen, the Co-excutive Director, Interfaith Mediation Centre, Reverend James Wuye who witnessed the graduation ceremony, urged the graduands to judiciously use the knowledge acquired and skills to better their future.
Reverend Wuye also urged the students to reciprocate such knowledge and skills to other younger generation as part of their contribution to nation building.
Earlier, the Chairman of Ashafa Relief Foundation, Shiekh Nurani Ashafa said was part of the foundation contribution in the aspect of improving formal education in the area of Qur’anic education.
“In the part of the world, we know that , informal educational sector is facing serious challenges and the challenge of informal educational sector has to to do with challanges of extremism, which promote the issue of violence extremism, radicalisation and easy bleeding ground”
Sheikh Ashafa called on Nigerians to look deep into the informal sector to improve the lives of ordinary Nigerians to have better future.
Highlights of the event, including recitation of Qur’an by the graduands, presentation of Skills acquisition materials to the students, launching of calendar among others.
