Kano state government (KNSG), has reiterated it’s commitment in mapping out policies and programs, aimed at uplifting hisbah to international standards.

The state governor, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, made the disclosure during a visit to hisbah headquarters.

According to him,the visit was aimed at accessing structures and facilities, at the board for necessary action.

The governor, decried over dilapidated structures and materials, which he described as a major set back to hisbah activities.

He stressed that, as an agency saddled with the responsibilities of promoting good and prohibiting bad, there’s the urgent need for the government to provide state of the art facilities, to achieve the desired objectives.

Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, commended the agency for it’s dedication in eradicating societal vices across the state.

Earlier in his remarks, the commander general Kano state hisbah board Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, appreciated the governor for the visit.

He pointed out that, preparations have reached advanced stage for the commencement of the mass wedding.

Sheikh Aminu noted that, the 1,800 intending couples selected from over 4,000 that registered, are undergoing medical screenning as part of the requirements for the wedding.

Radio Nigeria reports that, the governor was accompanied by commissioners, permanent secretaries and other top government functionaries.
