The Kano State government (KNSG),has pledged to build a new primary school, at Gaida Geza community in Kumbotso LGA.

The state commissioner commissioner for education, Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa made the disclosure while commissioning four toilets constructed by the Civil society action coalition on education for all (CSACEFA), AMG Foundation, and Gaida Geza Community Development Association.

Doguwa expressed dismay over the condition of the government school where students study without classrooms.

He directed the Parents teachers association (PTA) and the School based management committee (SBMC) to as a matter of urgency scout for a bigger land, for the construction of a standard primary school by the state government under the leadership of Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf.

He stressed that, the state government would not relent in it’s efforts of uplifting education to global standard.

The commissioner commended the efforts of CSACEFA, AMG Foundation and the Gaida Geza Community for the giant stride,in building four toilets at Gaida Geza primary school.

In their separate remarks, the Kano state Coordinator CSACEFA, Dr. Auwalu Halilu, and the AMG Foundation director Operations, Jalo Sulaiman thanked and applauded the prompt action taken by the Commissioner and also urged the community members to support the government.

They highlighted that, the coalition and foundation had contributed their quota in various aspects especially the education sector to move Kano forward.

Radio Nigeria reports that, CSACEFA, AMG Foundation and Gaida Geza community constructed four toilets at the community primary school where students study in a large compound without classrooms and toilets.
