Dangote Foundation,KNSG Facilitates Restoration of Power at ADUSTECH .

The management of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, has announced the restoration of electricity supply to the university campus, following the intervention of the Kano State Government and the Dangote Foundation.

According to a statement signed by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Musa Tukur Yakasai, the university was reconnected to the national grid by KEDCO on Friday, July 5, 2024, at 4 pm, after an initial payment of N100 million by the Dangote Foundation.

He said the Kano State Government has also committed to offsetting the outstanding liabilities of the university and other state MDAs.

The university community has expressed its gratitude to the Kano State Government, under the leadership of Governor Alh. Abba Kabir Yusuf, and the Dangote Foundation for their timely intervention.

Special appreciation was also extended to the Chancellor of the university, Alh. Aliko Dangote, and the DG of Dangote Foundation, and her team.

The Vice Chancellor appealed to members of the university community to reciprocate this gesture by supporting management’s efforts in ensuring the judicious utilization of electricity on campus.

The university community has expressed its gratitude and commitment to responsible electricity usage, ensuring a lasting solution to the university’s electricity supply problem.
