First Lady Commissions North-West Women ICT Center In Jigawa

The first lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu has says she will not relent in her efforts in pursuing for better opportunities and better life for children and women across the country.

Mrs Tinubu stated this at the formal handover of North-West Women ICT center built in Dutse, the Jigawa state capital.

According to her, the women ICT Centres built at the six geopolitical zones and FCT was aimed to provide more opportunities for digital capacity building of women and children to achieve inclusive economic development.

The first lady who was represented by the wife of Vice President, Mrs Nana Kashim Shettima further explained that, the ICT centers is a symbolic strategic partnership and collaboration designed under Renewed Hope for achieving egalitarian development.

She said that, the ICT will serve as a women training and capacity building ground to faster digital transformation, innovation, research for sustainable inclusive growth and development.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu said that, beside capacity building her office will continue to champion for policies and programs that will uplift the social and economic life of women and children in Nigeria and beyond.

In her speech, the wife of Jigawa state Governor Hajiya Hadiza Umar Namadi said, the handover of the well equipped ICT center is a milestone in an effort to build the women capacity for achieving more inclusive and equitable society.

Mrs Namadi promised to ensure the state government in collaboration with all stakeholders protect the center for achieving the desire goals.

“The centre is for all of us, Every women, every husband, every father, every mother and child will be mobilize for making the center functional, vibrant and sustainable”
